JULIE, a full jazz score for my play GREENSBORO:A REQUIEM,
a score spanning 150 years of African-American music for HAVING
OUR SAY, and a full-fledged rhythm and blues opera for BETSEY
BROWN by Ntozake Shange, Emily Mann, and Baikida Carroll.
He is, very simply, the most inventive and emotionally powerful
composer for the stage I have ever encountered".
